These sessions provide a consistent and supportive space for the client to express themselves, process experiences, and develop insight into patterns of behaviour. Ultimately, ongoing sessions in psychotherapy strive to empower clients, promote self-discovery, and contribute to sustainable positive changes in their lives.
How long will I need to participate in therapy before I feel better?
Short-term therapy lasts for 6-8 sessions. Clients have the option to continue with ongoing therapy at the frequency set collaboratively between them and their therapist.
The timeline for feeling better in therapy is highly individual and influenced by the complexity of the issues being addressed, the client's commitment to the therapeutic process, and the effectiveness of the therapeutic relationship.
